Age conscious personnel policies
An equal opportunity employment policy is one of the foundations of CSR. Providing it is implemented correctly, this kind of policy represents an effective response to many challenges in the socio-economic field as well as in the field of talent management and employee well-being.
That is why the members of Business & Society decided to initiate a working group on one of the major diversity problems in Belgium, i.e. the employment of older people within a company.
This working group resulted in a practical guide "From a 45-plus policy to integrated age management". Based upon these findings and on recent studies on management of people over the age of 45, methods and guidelines to a successful strategy are explained.
